Training and Education

Catalysis@Cambridge is dedicated to inspiring and educating our outstanding postgraduates to assume leading roles in the next generation of catalysis research.

Structure of Our Training Program

The structure of our graduate course will involve Graduate Lecture Series lectures running in conjunction with supervision-style workshops led by one PI and supported by senior post-docs, providing the personal interaction and individual attention that students will need.  All students will be required to attend all Basic Graduate Level Lectures and Basic Skills Lectures (66 in total), as well as a minimum of 14 hours of lectures which they may choose from either the Research based Lectures and Workshops or the many Undergraduate courses on offer.  Further attendance will be encouraged but no extra credits will be assigned for this.  A total of 10 credits will be available for this component (attendance at 80 lectures will be mandatory) and oral examination will take place in June of Year 1, where questions may be drawn from any course, as well as from their rotations.
